T-Mobile Poland has officially announced the successful completion of an innovative project involving the installation of wind turbines and photovoltaic panels at one of its base stations in southern Poland. The project was carried out in collaboration with two partners—NetWorks and Electronic Control Systems SA.

The success of using turbines and photovoltaics as an additional energy source for the base station is evidence that environmental protection and sustainable development are increasingly vital aspects of progress in the telecommunications industry. This initiative demonstrates that leveraging renewable energy sources can benefit not only the environment but also business and society as a whole.

We are always looking for new challenges and opportunities to cooperate with new clients. In a rather difficult period, due to weather conditions, we started work on the modernization of radio links at base stations of mobile telephony. The scope of the modernization includes the installation of new antenna dishes with the transmitting unit as well as cabling and the control unit, as well as the replacement of the existing radio links with higher-capacity links. In the installation process, it is also necessary to dismantle the old radio links.

We carry out the work in the south of Germany, where we have the opportunity to admire the picturesque Bavarian winter from a height.

In the search for an innovative solution to enhance the energy independence of mobile communication base stations, Electronic Control Systems SA joined forces with MOWEA to deliver a tailored solution for the telecommunications industry.

The collaboration between ECS and MOWEA has enabled the implementation of micro-scale wind turbines, an ideal solution for telecommunications. These micro wind turbines are easy to install and maintain, while providing energy production with zero greenhouse gas emissions.
